Big Monster Truck

Bryan and I have been talking about getting Brooks a motorized vehicle he can drive for a while.  We were a little nervous about him being to small. Everytime we go to ToyR Us or Wal-Mart, our kid is the one screaming in the toy aisle because we are prying him from the pink Barbie Jeep. Yes, I said the pink ones, for some reason he loves the girly ones the best. The other day we bought him a Ford F-150 MONSTER TRUCK. We were cleaning out the garage this morning, as our original plan was to wait and give it to him at Christmas.  Well, the kid bug hit us and we just couldn't keep it from him for another 3 months. Plus it didn't help that nosey britches found this before we could stop him. (Wonder where he gets his sneakiness from?) HA!

When we uncovered it and he saw it he pointed and said Truck with a big GRIN on his face. So we pulled it out where he could get in and ride.

He got in and was loving it UNTIL....

Bryan installed the battery. The truck was set in the reverse mode so when Bryan plugged the battery into the right place it took off, with Brooks in it. So therefore he was scared to Death and decided he wanted nothing to do with it. Not exactly what Bryan and I had planned in our minds of how he would react. Guess he'll grow into it. I think Daddy was just as excited about getting a monster truck as Brooks was. Wonder how long it will be before he's running over everything in sight with his monster truck and we will be wondering where the day went when he just wanted to sit in it and look at it.
